Wed, 22 Sep 2004 Visited the Point Reyes National Seashore today - very picturesque spot, good to get some fresh air. From the visitors centre you could take a short walk up to a re-creation of a Kule Loklo village. As you approached there was a sign which had the following quotation, attributed to Kathleen Smith, a Bodega Miwok artist in 1993 My people have lived on the coast for at least 8,000 years. To live in spiritual and physical balance in the same small area for thousands of years without feeling the need to go somewhere else requires restraint, respect, knowledge and assurance of one's place in the world.
