Sun, 12 Dec 2004 Well, almost, couldn't resist the opportunity to reference one of Marillion's better albums. But, already I digress...
Wednesday through Saturday last week Lu and I left Rachael with our parents and headed down to a rammed earth cabin in a rainforest in Termiel, NSW. Termiel is about two hours from Canberra or 20 minutes south of Ulladulla, no phones, bandwidth or even GSM access. Nice to have some time to just hang out as a couple, something we've not done for any extended period since Rachael was born. Also read a lot of books for a good measure (5 for Lu, 1.5 for me but I also caught up on some electronics journals and stuff!) I read Wil Weaton's Just a Geek, a good read not just for Star Trek fans but for, frankly, anyone in there 25-35s :) Second book I read while away was a Midnight Oil biography, very good thus far, will post some more thoughts later. Going for a final test ride on the GT3 later this week, I plan on ordering one unless anything unforeseen turns up over the longer distance. Michael from Fuse Recumbents has kindly agreed to let me do the test ride on my "regular" return from home commute so can get more of a real world feel for the trike. More to follow! |
